Metering Equipment Manager (MEM)

The MEM accreditation, awarded by REC, guarantees that only qualified companies or individuals can handle metering equipment. Achieving this status demonstrates our commitment to safety, technical excellence, and regulatory compliance. Under the REC, MEMs must stick to the Consolidated Metering Code of Practice (CoMCoP), which outlines the strict guidelines and practices that should be followed when working with electric meters.

Gas Safe

When carrying out gas work, safety is essential. Because of this, demonstrating expertise through gas safe accreditations is fundamental. Voltari’s gas safe accreditation, represents our commitment to upholding these meticulous safety standards for our customers.

As part of the REC’s Consolidated Metering Code of Practice (CoMCoP), gas suppliers must work only with companies or individuals accredited in gas safety. This guarantees that all gas-related jobs meet or exceed the strict safety standards, thus protecting customers from the risk associated with poorly managed gas systems.

Safe Isolation Provider (SIP)

The SIP accreditation is an add-on to the REC's MEM status. SIP allows MEMs to perform safe isolation activities, generally in relation to the installation of isolators to enable a smooth integration of renewable energy technologies. 

Before SIP, MEMs could only work on meter supply points where they were appointed by that energy supplier. Clearly, this is a significant improvement, offering flexibility and control to consumers. By gaining this accreditation, Voltari can now perform meter work under direct instruction from consumers with minimal disruption.
